We’ll be indoors and masked as we light our menorahs together and sing Hanukkah and Shabbat songs. We’ll then go outside for challah and doughnuts as you leave - or stay for the larger TBE Hanukkah celebration with latkes and more! Stay as long (or as short!) as it works for your family. Geared towards families with children ages 0-5.
To help you make the best decision for your family, here is detailed information regarding where every aspect of the event is taking place as well as masking expectations for anyone over 2 years old. Note that masks are NOT required outdoors.
--We will be gathering *inside/masked* in the Chapel foyer area at 5:30pm for a menorah lighting (bring yours from home) followed by Hanukkah and Shabbat songs.
--We will have bagged challah slices as well as doughnuts from Donut Bar (and nut-free doughnuts as well) waiting *outside* the Chapel for people to take as they leave.
--For anyone who wants, the larger temple Hanukkah party will be kicking off *outside* in the tent at 6pm with latkes, pizza, chili, salad, fruit, and a Donut Bar truck. There will be dinner seating *outside* in the tent as well as a designated *no-mask* dinner seating area *inside* in the hallway outside the Rabbis’ Study. This area will be away from *inside/masked* activities in the Sanctuary Foyer including decorating cards for seniors and Hanukkah sand art.
--If anyone in this age group is still going strong, at 7pm we will gather *inside/masked* in the sanctuary for a group menorah lighting followed by a brief and festive Hanukkah Shabbat service.
